Weather report update.

Not the band, but again the actual weather.

Is anyone else's summer/winter sucking especially hard?

In Calgary it's been cold and raining on and off for weeks, thunderstorms have been common and today it hasn't stopped raining at all. Talking to friends and family back in Melbourne apparently the winter has been constant rain (not that much of a surprise though) and a pretty bad winter.

I'd much rather be here:

How about you guys?

It's been 100+ for as long as I can remember. At nights, when I step outside, it's still 95. Showering in the morning is almost a waste of water, since I start sweating as soon as I step out the door. I have to change shirts about 3 times a day.

Typical endless California sunshine, I hate the summers here.

Weather sucks here. We had a solid 3 weeks of rain/clouds. We're usually super warm, 30+ every day... I get excited when we hit 20, lately.

I'm gonna have to say that 30+ isn't exactly super warm....I would sleep with anyone to know what the 80*F range feels like nowadays.

I'd go with super warm Over 35 for me is too hot, over 40 is hell.

It has rained almost every day here since the last snowstorm. It's incredibly green here still, so I can't say I mind it to much.

Sorry, I was talking in Celsius. 30C = ~86F.

Heh, I knew...I had to go convert in Google since I forgot the whole formula. I'm just jaded from living in a state with basically two seasons. Right now we're in the 100F season.

I think things have turned for the better here in New England.

We have had nothing but rain for the past couple of months, but we're finely getting a few days of consecutive sunshine and higher temps with only a day or two with rain in the forecast. It's been great for the grass and my tomato plants are now 4 ft. tall, but I'm done with that. More sun!

Days in the upper 70's, nights in low 50's, partly cloudy and only 4 inches of rain so far this year. Dew point is 40 something. My lawn has been dormant for over a month now but the weeds keep right on growing.

Partly cloudy, occasional showers, light trade winds and in the mid 80's. I hate it! I want snow!!!

One thing about this spring summer though:

The last few years we have been in quite a drought in this area. By this time of year everything is pretty much dead and brown. Our mountains got a lot of snow this winter, but down here we barley got anything. But our spring has more than made up for it. Our afternoon showers bring the sight of hell and a little drizzle, but it is enough to keep our grass green and living. Which is nice for a change.

It's been really rainy lately here. Luckily it's been sunny and not too hot the past couple of days. I hope it stays like this.

Just got back from Bangkok, which was fairly hot and extremely humid.

North Carolina is usually the same, but less. I'm generally pretty miserable with the humidity in the summer here, but it's nothing compared to where I just spent the last week.

Same with Memphis. High heat and brutal humidity.

Just to give it some perspective, the Memphis Grizzlies recently drafted Hasheem Thabeet out of UCON. Thabeet is originally from Africa. During an interview recently, he made the comment, "Memphis is hotter than Africa".

I'd gladly take some of the cooler weather...
