OK...what things bass related are you doing this weekend that will be fun?

I'll be A/B ing my SVT VR against my two new GB Shuttle 6.0's slaved to drive a SVT610 HLF & 2 SVT 15E's.

Whichever knocks the most seagulls out of the sky wins.

I'm taking it easy.

Going to a ballgame tomorrow. Maybe I'll stop in someplace to see a band. Maybe I won't.

I'll wipe the dust off my bass and roll up my instrument cable. Then do it again a couple times. I get kind of OCD about it. Not sure I remember the last time I played my bass, or turned my combo on, but I keep it all spotless.

I'll be (hoepfully) getting my five string back from my guitarist and measuring it up for some replacement parts (Kent Armstrong pickups, new preamp, possible new bridge).

I used my Carl Martin Compressor/Limiter for the first time at church. BONGOMANIA's review was right on! No tonal change, pure clean and it's quiet and very tweakable so you can get "your" sound. Adjust the output gain so, the level is the same whether on of off. I'm impressed!

Played at a big pentecost vigil last night. loads of fun. It started at 6:00PM and didn't get done until 10:00PM. It was cool because it was a combination of two church ministries, so I got to play with a lot of musician that I normally don't get to jam with.

Today I have two Church masses to play at.

Rockin in the name of the lord.
