Weird Itunes / Chickenfoot CD issue.

Sign in to disble this ad
Put the Chickenfoot CD in my Itunes and notice that the last note on the last song ("Future In The Past") seems to cut off abruptly.

Sure enough the song is shown as 6:39 on the CD's track time, but will only copy to Itunes to 6:34. Re-Imported several times but to no avail.

If I play the actual disk in Itunes it plays the full length of the song fine. It's only an importing/playback issue.

I've used Itunes since buying my Ipod 3 years ago and have had no other real issues. The closest to this was when a couple imported CD's didn't transfer to the Ipod completely. All songs were cut short. A simple re-sinc did the trick.

Please no "Itunes sucks, use this" responses. Just curious if anyone else has this problem with this CD.

UPDATE:
Went to the Chickenfoot site to see if this may have been a first pressing screwup or something......
And found out there is suposed to be a 12th bonus track ("Bitten By The Wolf")!?!
Both the physical CD and the downloadable versions from the site have it and same with the ones you can get from Amazon.Com. All for the same price I paid!?!
Nothing about any special editions only with any bonus tracks. Why doesn't mine have it?!?

So, I had to take matters into my own hands:
I downloaded high quality versions of both the defective "Future In The Past" and the missing "Bitten By The Wolf" with Limewire.

Let the debate on that begin.

It's ok because you own them physically.

If we could use images for signature, this would be mine.

Mine ripped Future in the Past just fine, but I didn't get the bonus track either.

I bought the CD from Best Buy.

Not "Bitten By The Wolf" apparently.

It's so weird that Itunes will play it in full (from disc), but won't rip it in full (5 seconds short).

Best Buy for mine too.

I do have to say that it was one of the coolest CD packages I've seen in a long time.

Now about that extra song...

I never even noticed the temperature sensitive ink until my son said "Hey dad, check this out!" in the car the other day.

What a great kid, he's only 12 so he still listens to Radio Disney sometimes but he has asked for about 100 of my CDs for his iPod and my 3-5 favorite bands are now his too.
