So the University of Utah made a big splash a few years ago by beating Alabama in a bowl game. Utah spoke before and after that game how they could compete with the big boys if given the chance in a BCS conference.
Well Utah, you got your wish. Time to compete with the big boys and show us all you really are as good as you claim.

-Mike | Very good move by the NCAA, they've earned it.

| | | | For years, the talk was about Boise State and Utah joining the Pac-10, but Utah and Colorado works, too. I agree that TCU would be good for the Big 12, but will they need one more team besides TCU to get back to 12?

I'd have rather seen Boise go PAC and Colorado stayed in the Big 12,

Lots of people here in Houston (including local congressmen) are trying to make a huge push to get Univ of Houston to join the Big 12. I doubt they'll make it though....both Texas and A&M have huge fanbases here, and both schools probably want to keep UH out.

EDIT: Do these Conference changes affect only football?? Because the Big 12 is one of the better basketball conferences, although it'd be weird to have 2 sports at the same school playing in different conferences

And with a conference like the Big 12, you'd assume it'd be in the discussion. Maybe schools will be in 2 different conferences....very weird
