-----------
Not real worried about the brakes... They are to the point where i might as well get them out of the way, but they still got a few thousand left on them.
Parking brake is a no brainer must do... and soon.
What the hell is a reed valve assembly?
I think I can fix the header pipe clamp. I took it off when i was doing my clutch. Don't really remember why i did, or why i didn't put it back. I tried putting it back a few months ago, and the head ripped off the bolt. I need to get some fancy chemicals, free up the bolt, and go buy a new one for 50 cents, so thats $39 i can save.
Anyways.
The rest of this sound fair? |

But the prices seem fair, especially with parts included. (they are included, right?)

(they are included, right?) | The only time I remember touching the belts was with my dad, they were a bitch to put back on... but that was also partly because we were replacing the alternator and had to wedge it in place... it was still pretty bad. I also remember my dad forgetting how the belt was organized and me being able to figure it out in like a minute or two. My dad was impressed and still tells people about it lol. (I know next to nothing about cars)

(usually 1/2" deflection for every 6")

If you've replaced the clutch yourself, none of this stuff should be that difficult for you.

All the stuff on your list? also seems secondary, like the mech was looking for work. About the the brakes? you shouldn't resurface front rotors, they'll wear out right quick once you cut through he hardened surface. All this stuff is preventitive maintenence Always a good idea to do it. Reed valve? I work on new stuff days and restorations weekends, Last thing I saw witha reed valve was a dirt bike. May just be shopspeak for a breather valve or a PCV. |
