My step-dad is 65 years old.

We found out today that he has cancer of the esophogus. or however the hell you spell it.

Hopefully he grabs it by the balls and kicks it in the ass... But honestly, I don't know whats going to happen.

He has been having problems eating for the past few months... He just can't get solid foods down very easily.

I'm not worried about him not making it and my mom ending up broke... He has county insurance (good stuff) and my mom has teachers insurance (amazing stuff) So bills aren't going to rack up.

Although if something does happen... thats it. I'll be 20 something being the man of the house.

My older sister just moved out, my little sister just turned 18 and is a senior in high school.

This is definitely something I wasn't expecting.

Well that sucks. Hope everything works out well, in my prayers.

My old man is 65 and he kicks ass. I expect nothing less from your step dad. Frankly, I expect him to take the proverbial dump in cancer's shoes.

Mike

So can they reduce it with chemo and radiation?

I'm sending all kinds of positive vibes your way. Mike.
