I dont know what to do, for the time being I built a little shelter to keep the dogs out of there, but I dont know if momma is around or not..
It appears as if there is fur bedding around them so im assuming she knows where they are. I dont want to move them in fear of them dying but I also want to make sure there safe where they are.
There is about 6 of them in the little hole.. What should I do, once there big enough to move out of the shelter I built then there is a chance of the dogs getting them or birds etc.

I hope they make it. I can keep the dogs away from the little fort I built but if they start running around the yard its hard to keep a 147lb Italian Mastiff, and a 102lb Bull Mastiff from doing what they do..
I got to let my dogs out to go to the bathroom ya know..
I will keep an eye on them, and track there progress..

I had to clean up the carnage of dead bunnies strewn about my yard with puncture wounds in them. It was, by far, the closest I've ever come to killing my own dog!

But do not touch them or move them, if my scent is on them momma will def not come back..
So I will keep this thread updated guess im the uncle to 7 little rabbits LOL

I'd keep a close eye on them, and if they appear to be slipping, momma might have left for good. If that's the case, you're a daddy, dude!

The fort I built is two deck chairs on there sides forming a little Square around them with enough for momma to get in and others to stay out.
Hope there going to be ok call me a big softy but I just want them to be ok..

Old wives tale, Momma will always comeback even move them if she's able and senses danger. They look well nourished so she's probably around (mama gotta eat too). Don't close off the area so she can move them if she needs to.
But yeah keep an eye on them.
Just like to repeat that, having your scent on them will not make the mother leave them. |
