What about a TalkBass App for our smartphones?

Sign in to disble this ad
Was thinking the other day, it would be cool to have a TalkBass app on my iphone.

Couple of features that would be neat are...
1. Checking PM's
2. Classifieds
3. Feedback for transactions

Just throwing this out there as an idea, anyone else besides me think this would be cool and useful?

I've been surfing TB with my Nokias since 2007. Any decent mobile browser on any platform can run PHPBB perfectly, paired with 3g capabilities and you can do it from anywhere.

My Blackberry 9300 handles it just fine, though with a good bit of scrolling.

Excuse the watermark, haven't decided if I want to pay for the app yet.

yeah, i can view talkbass on my iphone with safari, with alot of scrolling and enlarging the text. I wouldnt expect the app to let us view the actual site for surfing, but just to check PM's, and see classified ( ie the craigslist app )

My Samsung Captivate's browser runs it without a hitch. I'd imagine that any other Galaxy S flavor would do the same. Still, an Android app would be nice.

I would LOVE a smartphone optimized version of Talkbass. Seriously, that would just make my day. Are you listening, Paul?

I hated TB on my BB Curve, but have few complaints viewing it on my iPhone.

I use Opera Mini on my Blackberry Tour and it works well.

Another option might be to have a mobile version of Talkbass that would be less graphics and scrolling intensive. I'm sure that would be quite a project, though.

Yep...check it out. Do a market search for TalkBass. It's free, and so far stable. I like it.

I'm surprised vBulletin (software that run TB and many other forums) doesn't have a generic app or at least a mobile friendly version of the sites.
