I got a couple of those, a Smithwicks, a few Sierra Nevada offerings, and a few Linenkugel offerings in a pair build-your-owns at Kroger Friday night.

I did however have a 2XIPA from Southern Tier that was remarkable. I had it one time a long time ago at a beer dinner, and when I found it again I was very happy.

Much prefer double jack and green flash for a DIPA. 90 is kinda firm and yeasty for me. |

if i was going to die tomorrow and was offered a last wish (other than, of course, not to die) it would probably be a couple of sixers of each and to be left alone to drink 'em

Here's my list of favorites by category. At any given moment one of these can be found stocked at my home. Most of these are commonly available and not outrageously priced.
Lager: Yuengling (domestic), Red Stripe (import)
Pilsner: Miller Genuine Draft (domestic), Grolsch (import)
Light: Miller Lite
IPA: Stone IPA
Barley Wine: Molson XXX
Pale Ale: Bass Ale
Stout: Guinness Stout
Porter: never found a porter I've liked
Bock: Michelob Amber Bock
Trappist: Konings Hoeven Quadrupel before they disappeared from the market, turning towards Chimay now.
Hefeweizen: dislike this entire category, but a buddy has me drinking Blue Moon.

as far as barley wine goes, i would give a lot for a couple of bottles of Thomas Hardy...now that was good beer, but AFAIK is no longer available....please correct me if i am wrong & tell me where to get it.
oh, and PS- while i do not drink much lager, my favorite is Sam Adams...they say in their ads it is fresh, and i believe it...Sam Adams lager on draught is mighty good beer
