My girlfriend wants to buy a taser and i told her its probably not the best thing, because you actually have to be close to your attacker to use it. What would be the best self defense product for her to carry around? I might wana get something too, i get university emails of crime, and a lot of the times they are close to my street. |

I really like handguns, but only as a hobby. I don't see them as a good home or self defense option as they can easily be turned on you. You have to have be really responsible with them which includes locking them up so they can't be stolen and used to commit a crime. That alone kind of negates the home/self defense premise.

It's worse than useless. You might as well just spray yourself and give the bad guy your wallet. Same thing with a tazer. Carry both, spray your face and tazer your arse, THEN hand your wallet over |
