What is the best and worst film you have ever seen?

For me, I think the best film I've ever seen is either Forest Gump or the last Harry Potter. The worst film I've seen is Be Kind, Rewind. Awful film. What's your favorite and least favorite film?

And also, has anyone on here ever seen Troll 2? I've never seen it but it's regarded as the worst film ever made, and its got 0% on Rotten Tomatoes.

I can't really say what the "best" film is, mainly because I'm anal about using that word to describe anything. I suppose if I were to go by critical consensus, Citizen Kane would be the "best" film I've seen, but it's not my favorite. The worst would probably be the Spice Girls Movie.

Best: "Star Wars", back when it was called "Star Wars", before it was retitled episode 4, re-released, re-re-released, etc.

Worst: "Wild at Heart", by David Lynch. It remains the only movie I've ever walked out of.

Yeah, I always thought that Napoleon Dynamite was fairly boring. Bearable, but certainly not enjoyable, or worth watching. Everyone I know loves this film, so I thought it would be great

Best? Entirely waaaay to objective. Same with the worst. Some movies I can watch again and again, and others get better after I've seen them a handful of times. If I were to go out on a limb right now, I'd say Miami Vice (the remake movie out a couple of years ago), and the best would be City of God. Of course that'll change in a few minutes...

Don't know about best, there are so many good ones! Ghostbusters has to be one of them, and The Blues Brothers.

Worst film I have ever seen? That award would probably have to go to Ghost Ship for being down right terrible.

"Nilbog spells goblin backwards!!!"

Yes, it's awful and has nothing to do with the first.

I'm with Matty on my opinions being fluid, but off the top of my head, probably the best movie I've seen would be Mulholland Drive. (All you Lynch-haters back off - we can start another thread for that! )

The worst would be Pootie Tang. That movie induced a quite unpleasant acid flashback that ruined my night.

Best: Little Big Man. The Caine Mutiny. Tremors. How can you choose just one.

Worst: Bowling for Columbine. That's all I have to say about that.

Goodfellas still goes down as perhaps the best I've ever seen.

Worst? Pretty tough toss-up between Gummo and Dumb and Dumberer.

Best (in my current opinion): The Good, the Bad, & the Ugly, A Clockwork Orange/Dr. Strangelove, Eraser Head (David Lynch, woot woot!)

Worst (in my current opinion): American Psycho 2, You Don't Mess With the Zohan, Zombie Night. The Final Sacrifice (though its my one of my favorite with rifftrax)

Too many "best" movies to pick one, in almost every genre there are several.

My gut reaction to "worst movie" is always Blair Witch Debacle. What a huge disappointment. Girl Scouts telling ghost stories around the campfire are scarier than that.

Best: The Godfather, with Part II a very close second.

Worst: The Godfather Part III. This movie should have never been made. It was so out of character with the first and second.

From a subjective point of view, I would categorize a "best" film as one I can watch again and again, and not tire of.

Given that, my"best" goes out to some of the larger epic series, Star Wars, The Matrix, Lord of the Rings, etc.

My worst goes out to "Mixed Nuts". Yes, a Steve Martin movie that I actually walked out of. Unbelievably bad.

Best: Raising Arizona
Worst: "Manos, the Hands of Fate." Not even watchable through MST3K..

i will say a clockwork orange was absolutely, without question, the most faithful-to-the-book adaptation i have ever seen. it was completely accurate. the way all book-movies should be.
