can they be recycled, proper? I wonder.

Solder the ends together and braid large sections onto each other and make a kickass tow cable.

Hi.

I remember a thread about a person who collected used strings and sent them to the third world countries in bulk to be used by the less fortunate musicians.

If You think about it, the strings are probably the hardest item on an instrument to be replaced with something else or to be made by the player. Everything else they can pretty much fabricate.

If You have lots of them, this is what I'd do.

Regards
Sam

They can be used as rabbit snares in survival situations, or maybe a garotte?

Instrument racism?

On a serious note, perhaps TalkBass as a community could do something about it in US.

I have thought about doing it over here, but even though we Finns do a lot of third world aid, none of the organizations I know of are the kind I want to work with.

I do like to throw a hook in the water though. If someone knows someone who could organize such a distribution in any third world country, I'll be in.

Regards
Sam

depends on how wide the ass is. That said, one case of not wanting to know if it's 17mm or 19mm spacing. Where is that puking emoticon again?
