It looks like a cool enough place, but I really don't know anything about it.
What's the economy like?
What's the government like?
What's the weather like?
What are the people like?

They speak French and a type of German. They have a social democracy, and are said to be humorless but, IMO, are more gracious than their German neighbors. Lucerne and the small cities around it, like Engelberg, are some of the most beautiful places on earth, IMO. Gray granite mountains, like Yosemite but 3 times the elevation. Close to France, Germany and to the south Italy. You thinking of moving?

Also, if you speak German, don't expect to understand a word of Swiss German. |
