I'm new on this forum and I have no clue what the clubs are about. So if someone can explain that to me that would be helpful. Thanks |

Mainly it's just a fad

A "club" is nothing but participating in a thread dedicated to a certain piece of gear (or occasionally something else) and asking someone for a number...which makes no difference to anything.
You can (as I do) participate in these threads without ever becoming a "member."
There are no benefits. There is no point. Some people think it's "fun," like collecting 5,729 "friends: on Facebook.

I did hop on the Source Audio club thread in the TBFX portion but it is frequented by owner and one of the engineers from Source Audio and is pretty active and a good place to get answers, often times from the horse's mouth.
Also if you want to post pics in a thread, start a free account on a file hosting site such as Flikr, photobucket, imageshack, etc etc etc and copy and paste the "img" code in your post. I think there is a thread around here that goes into better detail for posting pics.

OTOH, I think their value is simply to scroll through pages of cool pictures, especially if the pictures are based on a specific theme, like black and maple basses, or wild pickguard shapes. |
