What is the craziest thing you have academically done ? I would have to say undertaking 64 undergraduate credits in one year was just about as crazy as it got for me.

I don't really associate 'crazy' with 'academic'.

I once studied for 12 hours straight! And I drank an entire 2 liter bottle of JOLT cola.

Yeah, me neither.

But I did do two things that I consider very dumb in hindsight.

One was to take a novel writing course which I fought really hard just to get into and whose grade was almost solely dependent on creating an entire novel in the course of a semester. I was pretty proud of the end product, but for something that was not in any way related to my major (or subsequent jobs) it was a HUGE drain on my time and the source of a lot of unneeded stress.

The second was to take 20 units of all science course work in one semester: Genetics, Physical Chemistry, 2nd semester of O chem, Neurobiology and my last semester of physics. Three of those classes had a lab component that was four hours each week. I rolled with the punches and managed to still enjoy myself, but when finals came around I was a complete wreck. I lived on coffee, cigarettes and maybe one meal while studying for 14-16 hours a day. I lost over 10 lbs and I really didn't have 10 lbs to lose.

It was miserable.

Well, why let all of that work go to waste?

Why not publish it here on your very own TB/OT forum ?

We need more long posts here anyway, if you ask me .

Spent somewhere between 45-60 minutes to write all 3 of my essays for the English Language AP test.

Pretty stupid, for most people, to only spend 45-60 minutes on 3 essays when two hours and 15 minutes are available.

I got a 4 on the test.

What are the credits and how are they given out? How much work do the credits represent?

We do a different system over here (still credits, but they couldnt be given as they have been described here)

I switched majors at the end of my freshman year. In order to catch up, I took all the core Computer Science courses in one semester. Somehow I managed to pull off a B average.

In third grade they gave out a standardized test to decide who would get into the gifted program. They were worried that people would freak out so they made a huge deal about how it didn't affect our grades so we didn't need to worry. I didn't worry so much that I finished the test in 1/4 of the time we had, then didn't check my answers because I wanted to read a book instead.

If I got one more point I would have made it

I'm double majoring in economics and saxophone performance. This is how I'm preparing to go to law school.
