My daughter bought me a G&L SB-2. It arrives Saturday & she's taking my brother & I out to lunch too. Sometimes...hints work.

peterbright - Your daughter rocks!

I plan on cooking dinner for my family (my choice - I enjoy cooking), and I expect to get some nice hand-drawn cards from my 3 and 9-year-old dauthters. From my wife, it will probably just be a card she bought Sunday afternoon at the grocery store. Unfortunately, she doesn't reciprocate the level of gifting that she receives from me.

I earned a reward from work...a nice one. A spotting scope in a very nice Pelican type case with tripod, strap, and soft case as well. My Dad is a big hunter and has lots of guns. However since my paroled brother has been living with them fo the last two years he hasn't had them actually at home. So....I'm getting a nice lil plaque with some engraving on it attached to the scopes case and a bunch of various ammunition and we'll spend the day sighting in his stuff. Of course while we BBQ and drink beer. I think that's a man law Maki...though shall drink beer from one hand while BBQ'ing while sighting in high powered rifles!

Nah...his. He has ten acres bordered by about 30 acres of woods. It's always a hoot. We'll be sighting in using targets then plinking at cans or fruit and veg...then a squirrel, chipmunk, woodchuck might stray into the hot zone.

Will give Pops a phone call. He doesn't need any more stuff.
Just visited with him down in bee-you-tee-ful Boulder City, NV in March. Gotta keep an eye on the ol' trouble maker!

I think I'm gonna tidy up the house for my dad, he's gone to visit my brother in university for the best part of the week and he's complaining the house is a tip, its been this messy for years... now my exams are finished, I have no excuse *not* to tidy up, and it'd be good to get the bulk of it done without him worrying about helping with it.

nothing expensive or fancy here, but the guy seems perfectly content playing heroes of might and magic on his PC... he's been playing exactly the same version for a good 10 years now, I bought him the upgrades and he hasn't even opened the boxes. meh, why not?

my big gift this year was a nice big toolbox.
I was tired of having tools littered everywhere and being able to find anything when I needed it.

They got me some other stuff too but I won't know until sunday what it is.

As for my dad, I'll probably get him yet another itunes gift cert.
