I got this stand http://accessories.musiciansfriend.c...and?sku=454316 for Christmas, because I really needed a solid music stand - wire ones just don't cut it. I took it out of the box, set it up, and tightened one of the levers that hold it together, and *snap*! Useless in one go. Other reviews on Musician's Friend show us that this is not uncommon. I attempted to return it to Guitar Center (the same one where it was purchased) and they were about as helpful as a coat in the tropics. So what should I do with it?
edit: silly suggestions are OK |

I actually used duct tape to fix it- strange, being from Kentucky, that should have been the first thing I thought of. |
