a lot of things have been going wrong, the day has been tough! had this feeling some times? how do you deal with it!?
for me, nothing catastrophically bad happened. just some stupid mess-ups adding up, bad traffic, buses, traveling, getting locked out! and stuff
but i had a really nice solid jam session with my band and have a gig to look forward to! but for the next one week i'd have to go everyday to jam that far and its kinda tiring already!
anyway so because i had a hard day, am pissed and thats making matter difficult and am screwing up everyday things and cant focus on practicing today! i know if i cool down i'd be better but thinking about the mess i made today i dont feel like chilling out my head one bit
so how do you deal with?
ps: think am ok, writing this thread helped

This is my plan for tonight since I need to break up with a girl after work and I know it's not going to be pleasant (sorry mentally prepping myself and re-enforcing resolve here) |

After that, realize that you have the choice to remain mad or not. It's a lot less stressful when you understand that you don't have to be mad and can move on. I find the days I get like that, my day gets better after I choose to move on.

I try to put it all in perspective, things could be a lot worse. On Wednesday I was moping around feeling like crap most of the day. I went by my parents to drop off my tax info and talked with them a bit. I didnt leave feeling any better, but then I got home. My girlfriend took me upstairs and practically forced my mind off the subject. I felt so much better afterwards.
If things wouldnt have gone that way I would have sat upstairs jamming by myself for a few hours, I think that would have made me feel better too.

Sure, it's immature and I've been told "unprofessional" in board meetings, but I've also been told expressing your feelings is a positive thing and isn't this thread about being happy?

| | is, against all odds, still a scuba viking. | | Join Date: Feb 2007 Location: Alta Loma, California | | | I usually vividly contemplate the murder (in exacting step by step measures) of people I don't like. For example, last night the people in question were chained to a wall in a sound proof basement, and I proceeded to bash their heads in with the mini bat, one by one. The mini bat part is important, because unlike a regular baseball bat, it would take many swings to kill somebody, especially because I'd start at the jaw line and move slowly up. It was pretty satisfying listening to them scream in my head, with their blood splattering everything around me and bits of shattered skull fragments crunching under my feet.
