Daily: "good mornin Dad / Hon, good night Dad / Hon", and everything in between that gives it all substance.

Weekly: the paycheck that affords me the opportunity to do stuff and acts as a reminder that I am lucky to have a job in these trying times.

Monthly: lately this suggests at least one gig opportunity and the chance to write and perform amongst musical people I admire.

Yearly: That one day that suggests a fresh start / reset...otherwise, nothing that I should be waiting a year to immerse in.

Daily: Volleyball. It's what keeps me hustling through my busy day.
Weekly: Lately, the Walking Dead on AMC. However, depending on how things are going, the answer could be "my weekly paycheck" or "the weekend."
Monthly: I'm not quite up to an Amazon order per month, but it's closer to that than annually, so I'll put it here.
Annually: I'm lame, but probably verifying that something long term is doing what it should be, like paying down my student loans or building up my retirement accounts.

Day: My kids. There's nothing better than a big hug from your little girl. Nothing. And being done with my homework. I have homework pretty much every day.

Week: Kicking back with my wife at least one night. She's my favorite person to just hang out with. She's nuts like me so that helps.

Month: I try to sneak in a long solo hike (at least several miles) once a month. Nothing brings your mind back into focus like a walk in the woods.

Year: I'm big on goals. So I like to look back and see how many of them I made it through each year. So, for the year, it's more looking back than forward. But I also like to make a list of new ones and adjust the old ones looking forward.

Great thread!

Day: My Monday night house gig at Paddy's Pub in Ferney, France.

Week: The Friday night drive to the farm in Burgundy. Get there and light the fire. Open a bottle of local red. Chill out. Let the dog run free on the property. Saturday morning, walk over to the farmer next door for a coffee before the local boulangerie (bakery) truck shows up at 09:10am to deliver warm bagettes and croissants. Buy a dozen fresh eggs from the neighbor.

Daily: Getting home after a long hard day at a job I don't like.

Weekly: The weekend. Jamming with friends, drinking a few beers, spending time at home with the family.

Monthly: ? Nothing really jumps to mind.

Yearly: This kinda changes with the seasons. In June I still sometimes go up north for a long weekend and get drunk in the woods with 300 of my closest friends. In late winter/early spring there may be a trip to the Caribbean, Next fall it looks like another conference in D.C. That means I get to drink beer with you guys again!
