What Do You Shave Off First?

Let me set the scene. You wake up in morning, get your shower and then go over to the sink to shave. You pick up your blade and bring it up to your face. What gets shaven first? Your above-lip mustache area? Maybe your sideburns? Perhaps the under-lip soul patch area?

I tend to go for the mustache area first.

I have a mustache. I go opposite sideburn over to the mustache first, then same side sideburn to mustache, then neck from the same direction, then my chin.

Neck. I leave sideburns and my face alone for the most part.

I shave in the shower. Don't bother with shaving cream. Start with sides.

I shape the lower edge of the beard (neck/underside of chin), then do the sides of the burns, and finally the top edge of the beard (lower cheek/chin). Lastly, everything that shouldn't be there gets shaved smooth (neck, upper cheeks, 'tache).

I second that motion in its entirety.

Neck, left burn, right burn, chin, stache.
I also shave in both up and down motions to get the smoothest
and closest shave I can.

Its mostly part of my plan to give myself the best chance to grow some actual facial hair.

I voted chin, but it could really also be jawbone area. I shave the jawbone area of my chin first, then move on to the neck and the rest of the jawbone (aside from the sideburn area of the jawbone), then the lower lip, then finally upper lip and where the moustache would connect to the sideburns. And as of last July, the sideburns have stayed.
