I did 4 years in the Army as an infantryman and am now back to school majoring in microbiology. May end up heading toward physicians assistant or nurse practitioner.

This is exactly how I answer this question. I'm a Business Systems/Process Analyst and MIS/IT Project Manager. So I talk to all of the customers and all of the software engineers.

That answer has worked a few times a pick-up line too

I do whatever the sales guys are too stupid to do, and whatever the engineering guys are too lazy too do.

If sloth and stupidity weren't so rampant, I wouldn't have a niche to fill.

After the Navy and grad school I wound up working as a DoD contractor, managing a team of SW developers. Similar to Phalex...I too have people skills. Lol.

Ah, sloth and stupidity. The bad part for me is I am being forced to design programs and processes that allow for these idiots to continue with their lazy ways.

I work for an environmental engineering company in NYC. My business card says Field Coordinator, I rather prefer construction permits coordinator...though essentially I am a paper pusher.

I am the guy that prepares the paperwork for the construction permits required in work at Department of Environmental Protection water treatment plants. Really what I do is know which permits are needed and how to get them.

I hope your company is swamped with business. You're doing good things.

We seem to get busier every day!

Our founder/managing director is an inspirational man - he used to be a hippie living in a van before he founded the company, and now he's really making a difference to the country, maybe even the world.
