What happened to BMEINK?

Does anyone know why it hasn't updated in three months?

Yeah I look there quite often and it's never anything new anymore. Not sure whats up with it.

Drama ensued when Rachel Larratt (wife of Shannon) and Jon (works for BME) supposedly called the cops on Shannon (Creator of BME) and he was held for a night and during his absence they shut down all his privilidges to BME as an attempt to overthrow Shannon so now he's locked out and updating from his blog at bodytwo.com

Many things are on hold now like BMEInk and ModBlog (slowly getting back to normal) and there are many sides to this fiasco but yeah that's the gist of it.

WHAT! When did all of this happen, I used to follow his blog all the time and I always got the impression that he got a long great with his EX and Jon. BTW is there any news about his cancer?

Let me check...

Late September. I know they got along great and everything and that's why Shannon felt incredibly betrayed by this. I remember the day this happened, it was crazy. Everything on BME that Shannon could post (before he was completely locked out) would get deleted within minutes and everyone was just in panic. Rachel and Jon didn't offer any comments at all through all these accusations until much later and even then it was really vague what really happened.

The ones on Rachel's side blamed the whole thing on Shannon's 'unstable sanity'.

In the end no one knows who to believe.

ModBlog is slowly coming back though; Shannon was posting through Roo for a bit.

Well I always figured that Shannon was a little unstable mentally, nothing serious enough to worry about though. Who has their daughter now? Shannon owns the site, they could get in big trouble for all of this.

I'd been checking BME at least a few times a week for a few months now. I'd wondered if he was on some type of extended vacation or something. I had no idea that something like this had happened.

Shannon interviewed me years ago and he was quite a nice guy although his personal life was always a little left of center. That was Shannon though. He gave me a free subscription until 2009 and that was in 2002 or so. I had no quarrels with him. Unfortuantely, the IAM community collapsed after he left and most of my friends left.

I'm still on IAM...but a lot of my friends left after the drama started. I miss them :/ I read on Rachel's IAM page that IAM2 is closing down...I hope the ones that left IAM for IAM2 will come back.
