Just got power back yesterday.

The basses and amp/cabinet were saved.

The P.A. system wasn't so lucky.....

Why won't they cover it?

To the OP: incredible that you got it on video. Glad to hear you're alright and that most of your stuff made it out ok.

Most likely because most insurance doesn't cover floods. You typically have to have a separate flood insurance policy.

Yep. And me in an incredibly idiot move, decided not to go with the flood insurance for a year or two to try to save a few bucks with the new house.
I was thinking, "I'm not in a flood zone and what are the chances of us getting hit with something that would flood us out within the year?"

derrrr derr derrrr. I've learned my lesson.

Crap. I'm in the same boat. In a flood zone. Never bothered with the flood ins. There was a giant flood here in 1938 but it since then that river has been dammed and fitted with spillway channels. Hmm.

Yeah seriously, just get it. If for nothing more the peace of mind is worth it!

Thanks man, appreciate that. We'll be fine though. Compared to what others are dealing with, ours is trivial...
there a few towns here - Manville, Hightstown (within 5 mins of us) and a few more who are pretty much total losses in some areas. Houses flooded through the ground floors, houses knocked off of their foundations, roads caved in...
Like I said, I hear a lot of folks yapping about how this storm was over-rated, media scare tactics, etc etc.
That s*** doesn't matter when your house is 12' from where it was standing before the storm. For some folks, this WAS the worst storm in history.... we may be volunteering to help out this weekend with the Red Cross if they need us.

Not to poke fun, but you timed the music perfectly with the ceiling falling in. I actually jumped and exclaimed "Holy ****!"

Hope all the gear stayed dry!
