I like spiders... snakes I don't like

I used to have a tranchula (spelling lol) when I was a little kid. Easiest friggin pet ever! Even as most animals (other than dogs really) can't stand/scared of little kids it never tried to bite me. It grazed my dad once and he said if he would've gotten bit it would've hurt like a mo********er

That one is often mistaken for a wolf spider, but I believe it is actually a funnel-web spider, and more specifically, a grass spider:

Creepy, but not dangerous.

THAT LITTLE THING SCARED YOU?

...man, you never want to leave Colorado then, because that thing is TINY....

We used to have these wandering around my house (inside, mind you) when I lived in Orlando:

They did a good job of keeping the huge cockroaches out of the house:

I just figured that the spider was less gross than the palmetto bug...and that photo with the playing card...that's an average to small adult...you should have seen the BIG ones...

Jesus Christ, it's a spider, get in the car!!!

I appreciate everything spiders do for us, but if one is near me I will throw whatever I have at it, scream like a girl, and run away.

If you want to know what kind of spider it is, after you change your tampon, take your photo down to the CSU extension office, they should be able to help.

EDIT: Looks like the websites been moved,...check this one instead:

After lurking around the website I listed in my first post,....I'm inclined to agree with this post. Funnel Weaver Spider.
