Since about 2003, I haven't been surprised or shocked by anything and if it turns out that the Earth is a reality TV show for all-powerful space aliens and we are the unwitting cast put here for their entertainment then that wouldn't surprise or shock me either.
I'm very serious. |

Egads! I used to be required to work 6 days a week, bell to buzzer.
Granted, they used to pay a lot more back then, too. This economic downturn has hit GC pretty hard, methinks. |

The local TV news a week or so ago had a short segment looking back on crazy events they reported in the recent past. |

.... although any analysis that proposes "magnetic reconnection" as a cause of anything seems a bit suspect. |

A work acquaintance asked me earlier, "Aren't you getting married soon?" I nearly hit the floor. I shudder when I even think of marriage. It scares me. And besides, they don't let the gays get married in Texas. Crisis averted.
