Well then, please allow me.

I don't know who the MENSA boy was that decided today would be the perfect day to work on the pavement and traffic signal at the entrance to WalMart but whoever you are:

DUDE! YOU ARE AN EFFING MORON!

I still have more to do, but I'm not going to do it. Heck with it! I am not approaching any urban shopping centers until late February.

I get all my stuff early and mostly on line.

The wife asked me to go and get "one more thing" despite her knowing that I consider WM the true great Satan. Talk about taking a hit for the team...

For better, for worse, sure.
Richer, poorer, OK
Sickness, health...yep.

Go to WalMart? Divorce me.

My wife did it all, heh-heh. And a lot of it online.

As far as my gifts for her it was about 15 minutes on the phone for one, and a couple hours in the mall for the others (and then to the bar to unwind with a brewski and Monday Nite Football). Ba-da-bing, done deal and I know she will love them all.

I had finals until last week and had absolutely no time to do shopping prior to 12/21. The Blizzard hit and made things even more difficult. I managed to get the good stuff; I need to return some things tonight and then wrap gifts.

Almost done!

I was at our local mall from 6 to 8 pm this past Monday night and I was astounded by how dead it was for it being just four days before Christmas. The only place in the mall doing any kind of business at all was the sports bar.

The weather was a little sleety/snowy, but nothing out of the ordinary for this time of year in South Dakota. So either everyone had their shopping done already, or the economy really is forcing people to scale back on Christmas this year.

I got all mine done today, except for a couple of small items. Pity I also got an awful cold to compliment the season! Good health and happiness to y'all for the holidays!

Sorry, my man, but going to WalMart this close to Christmas gets you your own hat and spot in the corner. Don't take offense, I did it twice in the last 3 days. It's like purposely hitting yourself on the thumb with a hammer and then getting mad at the hammer.

No offense taken. My wife made me do it.
Additionally, the entrance to that particular store dumps right out onto U.S. 1 and the traffic back up screwed up the entire road so, going into WalMart or not didn't really matter. It pooched traffic on the main north / south corridor for the entire town.

I find that the "convenience" of having Walmart so close to major conduits of traffic usually leads to massive problems when anything but a normal stream of traffic is present. Add construction into it and you find yourself wishing "The Happening" was happening.
