Weihenstephaner Korbinian!!

It's nice to see a couple of other doppelbocks in this thread, as well as some other fine brews!

Seems to be that I need to try Sierra Navada, it is available here but I've never wanted to take the plunge.

Okay, apart from being suspicious, and worried about inappropriate probing (it's a spaceship with endless supply of beer, what the hell are they planning??)... I'm nominating the first Australian beer so far:

Coopers Pale Ale

^ Awesome! Even if one didn't like IPA's, you have to try it just based on the above quote!

I love it. Fortuatnely they sell it on Cape Cod, so I have one (or like, 3) for special occasions. Soooo much better than most IPA's in my view. Goes great with all types of food, ta boot.

Think "half way between a session beer and a full-on IPA"

Cheap low calorie beers tend to be worse for people who want to lose weight, as it takes many more just to get a little buzz.

It would take 6 Miller 64s to get the same buzz I can get drinking one of these:

If it's going to be hot (the island/environ) and the beer will be cold I'm going with Hoegaarden.

If both the beer and environ are going to be cold I'd snuggle up with Chimay Blue.

The best beer I have ever had was called "Belgian Tripple" I found in Brugge on one Summer trip. It is made only during certain months and may be available only locally. It looked and tasted like liquid gold, and had the tiniest bubbles even seen in beer. It came in a special ultra-tall glass and even my girlfriend liked it! I believe that the name means it is triple malted.

I like the first two suggestions: Newcastle and Boddington's

But I have a feeling I might later regret not chosing something darker, like 1554
