What to plan for Valentines Day?

Sign in to disble this ad
So my girlfriend and I have been together a little over 3 years.. I took her on a horse and carriage ride around downtown Chicago last year, which she liked a lot and I don't want to do the whole "dinner and a movie" thing this year...

Any ideas?

Make her a chocolate sombrero. She'll love it.

Nothing, valentines day is rubbish.

Heh heh. Every Valentines Day, I ALWAYS tell the girl I am seeing that I simply do not acknowledge this holiday, to expect nothing from me, and that I will be offended if they get me anything. When they ask why, my response is always the same: "Because I don't need a fake holiday to remind me to do something nice for you every now and then, and it SHOULD work vice versa."

Needless to say, the day rolls around and they always give me something. They look at me with those "Aren't you gonna say thank you? What did you get me??" eyes, and i just stare blankly until they their vapid grin slowly melts into a scowl and the words come out "WHAT? You were SERIOUS?"

No, I just spent the last four weeks creating an elaborate lie as a ruse to cover for the fact that I am actually going to give you the best Valentine's day ever. Now get your head out of the clouds. Unicorns aren't real and I didn't get you jack.
