I turn 18 in approximately 8 hours. I haven't been this excited for a birthday in a long time.
I've decided I'm gonna blow some money on things that I can buy now. Anything else I can buy besides cigarettes and lotto tickets? I know I can buy porn, but you can get that for free. I think I can legally buy a gun, though that a bit out of my price range. I have plenty of guns already, anyway.
Anything else exciting that I can do? What did you do for your 18th? |

Open a bank account.
Drink on a cruise ship.
A vast majority if jobs would now be available to you if you lived in CA(not that there are any)
You can go to jail.
You can apply for a line of credit.
I spent my 18'th in the can all weekend...

A cigar does sound like a great idea. I was gonna buy myself a black and mild or something, 30 bucks seems like a ton for a cigar.
Its true, I can find a job much easier, and I can vote. But I need some fun things to do. A strip club sounds like a good idea, I'm not sure if they are 18 or 21 though, because I know alcohol is served. I'd like to get drunk on my birthday, sucks that its on a monday...
I believe I can buy a gun too. 18, how exciting! |

You turned 18, realized that you could go to jail and though to yourself "Hey I gotta get in on that!"? |

I got a DUI, suspended license, and a hangover from the place below.

| oh please no, those things are worthless...
and ya don't have to spend $30... you can get a decent one for half that...
lessee now, for my 18th (less than a month ago)... ah! I remember. the minute I was 18 I was at a friends house with a few buddies for his sister's 16th birthday party. Because there was leftover ice cream, they gave me a scoop with a candle in it. Then I bought a Romeo y Julieta (I already smoked cigars semi-regularly before that, so I knew what I liked)
then I went to a So-Cal Talkbass get-together in Westminster, that was really cool, got to play an alleva coppolo, which was amazing...
then I got a nice fat rare 18oz steak from Black Angus.
all in all, a nice day.

| | | | Well its official, I'm 18. I got myself a pack of reds, a few grape swishers and two scratch tickets (I didn't win, what a surprise) . Being 18 kicks ass!
Happy Birthday to me! |

| | | | I beleive I have to register for the draft too, don't I? Now I'm legally responsible for my actions, instead of my parents, jesus, this is such a burden. My little sister called me an old fart just now, this sucks. I've got atleast 20 years before she should be allowed to say that.

When I turned 18, I was sent a card in the mail stating that I had been automatically registered. You may have been too, so check to see if you're registered first.

On my 18th birthday I had a party. We served beer (the drinking age in Quebec is 18), some guests were underage. Nobody got drunk though.

Best line i ever played for was Holland America Line, beautiful ships, spacious lounges, top shelf liquor, and I actually got to roam the ship freely.

In this economy, the best advice I can give you:
Stay in school, save money.
And whatever you do, don't get dead!
