I've had my own domain for quite a few years. However, I used to use it for more childish things and not so much useful things. So, I've decided to redo the whole thing and would like for it to have a music/bass related theme.
Does anyone have any ideas for a website that you'd want but it isn't out there?
I know this is probably a ridiculous question to ask here, but I'm just looking for thoughts. I figure if I'm paying for a domain, I may as well use it for something useful.

However, they can be so much of an ego extension that some of us get real bored reading "my this, I got that, When I was young, Here's my." Just a thought... |

i think a page with links to CD duplication companies and companies that will help bands get merchandise to sell at shows would be helpful, but again probably already been done.
since everything has probably been done by someone else already, then why not go for something you can make profitable.
follow these simple steps. . .
1 start a web business
2???
3 Profit!!!

Just a thought... | Considered this, it's a thought, but as you said people get bored. If it was something like Maddox, that's different, but even then you have to be good at it and you can't steal what others have already done... Quote:

3 Profit!!! | Hmm a web business...still requires ideas, and I'd have no idea where to start. But worth some thought, for sure! Quote:

Maybe I can try to outrun Google and run a search engine of my own. Yeah that'll work...

But everything has already been done... | Not everything has been done. Think of it like this... previous to Youtube, myspace etc. a lot of people were saying the same thing; "what to do with the internet now?". All it takes is one good idea or another to be the next big thing and you open a whole new world.
Don't just think of it as "something to do on the internet" or "with my domain", but think of it as "what can I do?" in general. Invent something. Everyone's still rolling on the social networking avalanche, but it's dying down. Something new is due; something different . |

I should think of it as an invention sort of thing...thanks very much!

I had a website or two that I built.
As I retired my motorcycle shop, I needed a use for one of them.
I started a drum pedal history site.
Sounds stupid, but drummers really liked.
I did a ton of research and had pics of my extensive pedal collection as well as others from around the world.
Hows about some kinda educational site dealing with basses? bass amps?, rare basses?, maybe pics of really kool basses from the people here?
Maybe?
Cheers, Dave |
