I am trying to apply for LIPA this year and need some advice on what songs to play.
I want two kind of different pieces, and I prefer to play it solo (although it doesnt need to be a solo piece, as long as I can play it alone with it making sence, I hate backing tracks)
Give me some ideas guys!
P.S Posted here since the misc. forum didnt give me any replies |

But yea, I can play portrait of tracy, since I already know how to play it. My only concern is that its a to common audition song |

Sure, it's old news and everyone can play it on guitar, bass, piano,...drums...( ) But it's fun and if played in the correct register, it sounds really good on an electric bass.

Really how many times have studio guys get gigs where they have to do complex tapping solo bass or double thumping or any of the other of the cool trick. Not to often I'd imagine.
Some pieces from jamiroquai done excellently might work.
