I joined TB to learn/talk/share stuff about bass guitar; I suspect that is what its primary function is for. But it has come to my attention that TB is also a place for stuff COMPLETELY UNRELATED to bass.

Here are a few recent examples of posts...

starting a fresh water fish tank
best beer commercial ever
who would you fight?
still running TV shows that have jumped the shark
have you ever broken somebody's arm?

What is the weirdest, most un-bass-related, obscure post title you have ever seen on TB? If you can't remember it, go ahead and make one up!

Um. It's OFF-TOPIC. What else would go there other than conversations completely unrelated to bass?

As for the weirdest title, I couldn't tell you. But I'm sure I clicked on it. I'm an idiot that way.

Sometimes. Now that I quit playing bass, this is all I have left to hang on to at TB. I keep hoping this site will morph into TalkFootball then I'll have a legitimate reason to be here.

Yeah, but all the cool people I know from this website probably wouldn't be there.

You're new to TB, fairly new I see. Many a fella like you has come through the hallowed halls of Off Topic with a thread like this one. Trying to bust on us here in OT for talking about anything but bass. They clown on us, ask why, question the legitimacy of the forum, and so on. It's been done before.

In conclusion, I shall quote Mr. Jones again....."You're just a squirrel trying to get a nut! Now get on outta
here. Scat!"

I only kid with the comment to get on out of here. Hang around and get to know some people. This is a great place.

FYI: I don't dislike OT... I just thought that people who wanted to start fish tanks or want a recipe for cheese balls may have another place to go...

I really can't understand the reason for any of your posts. You don't have to visit Off-Topic so why does it matter?
