What words scare you ? For about the past 4 years the word Orthodox has been particularly scary for me.

...to name a few. I'm worried about how the world will handle the finance issues at the moment. It's scary how Iceland in practice went bankrupt virtually over a night. Hope you manage with the situation there, Ívar.

Edit: potentially worse- 'Dad/mom, I'm pregnant..'

A lot of people have lost a lot of money. What is really hurting us real bad right now is the awful state of our currency.
But enough of that

People are scary sometimes, though. | I love ethimologies too. Let me share one of my favourites. Cochilo/Cochilar means nap/take a nap in portuguese. During a german class that i realized the root of the word, when i learned sleep in german is "schlafen", and I was like "This word sounds too familiar...shlafen...coshlafen...cochilar!"
So i guess the word was bought to the iberian peninsula by the germanic tribes that imigrated to that place, mainly visigoth and suebs. But since we already had "dormir" from latin, the germanic word took a slightly different meaning, that means "short, light sleep".
