I am giving my dad a set of old wooden handled knifes, I tung oiled the handles and sharpened the blades. I have about 4 or 5 hours into this gift, and I'm still not done. I have a few more coats to put on (I have 5 coats already), the wood was really really dry and completely white in some parts and cracking. I put a tiny bit of wood glue over the cracks and smoothed it down.
What are you getting/giving? |

Unfortunately my dad has passed, so it's me and my wife and daughters now. I'll have dinner with the whole family this Sunday.

Do some BBQ'n, some drinking, and (when the 'rents arent around) some herbal medicinin. Pitching a tent in the campsite so we can crash. If it werent for my girls new found kick of doing it outdoors I probably wouldnt be getting laid that night (that is, if I dont pass out first).
Driving home for another BBQ with the in-laws Sunday, to announce to the rest of her family that we're engaged.
