What are your favorite overlooked cartoon characters?

I've been watching lots of Rocko's Modern Life episodes online over the past few weeks, and I cannot get enough of Filburt. He's got so many good lines and the voice actor (Doug Lawrence) did such a wonderful job voicing this turtle. It's a crime against humanity that this show still is not on DVD to my knowledge.

Anyone else have any favorite cartoon characters that may be unknown to the general public?

Whatever happened to Ren and Stimpy. I never see reruns and it had some of the best writing. Log, Powdered Toast Man, I miss those guys.

My vote would be for Horse from Ren and Stimpy. Especially the rubber nipples episode.

I really like the "Home Movies"

The entire cast of characters is great.

But I have to give it up for the Coach.

Because all the smart, pretty girls move away from crappy two-bit towns like this and go on and live their great lives... and have great success. While people like me, who have some integrity and loyalty, stick with this town... fighting the good fight. In a way I am a hero... I'm like a sexless John Glenn."

Love that show. Mr. Horse has some great moments also on the Ren and Stimpy's Adult Cartoon Party. Another great character was George Liquor.

I second this, but would say the most overlooked character in Coconino County is Gooseberry Sprig, the "Duck Duke".

I just started watching this on adult swim. It's pretty hilarious.

I only saw a couple of episodes when it was on MTV. Can't remeber it that well, but I think I thought it was funny.

Angry Beavers + Invader Zim= one hour of goodness.

I also remember watching Daria. They're narcisistic gloomy teenage angst really appealled to me apparently.

One cartoon show that love the entire cast of is Venture Bros. Nobody seems to watch it though. Dr. Orpheus is the man.

+1!! Droopy didn't get the spotlight that much, but he sure had a knack for doing some crazy stuff.

I particularly like the one episode where his twin brother who is on steriods trade places with him, and they tourment the poor bull dog guy.
