I am watching Blues Brothers right now...fun to see Duck with the pipe in his mouth when he plays with Ray Charles...Anyways I am eating a Ribeye and an artichoke which to me is a perfect combination...what is your favorite side when you eat the ribeye, tbone, new york strip, porterhouse, filet mingon, or for you rich guys the Kobe beef.

This or a baked potato + horseradish, depending on my mood and what's available.

Sometimes I like a little mustard with some character, Grey Poupon on up the chain. With prime rib, Au Jus and some type of horseradish. We are getting some truly awesome Maui grown beef lately... you don't have to do much to it.

Kobe beef is another matter entirely. Trips to Japan always ruin me for beef for awhile afterwards... it's just so damn good. Over there, I just take it however the local folks want to serve it to me. That goes for most of the food in Japan; I don't ask questions, I just sit back (well, squat on the floor, actually), enjoy, and pack on the pounds.

Whenever I grill I like to toss some potatoes and red onions under the coals and cook them up nice. Next to a nice Porterhouse with some salt and fresh ground pepper its about the perfect meal.

Posting in this thread earlier in the day made me hungry enough to fire up the grill tonight and cook up a couple of filets with Flay's Black Pepper/Molasses/Rum Glaze (look it up, it's become a standby in my house)

Sides:
Balsamic Vinegar marinated, grilled red onion
Grilled Asparagus with butter, garlic and tarragon
Wasabi smashed red potatoes
A nice Shiraz.
