This or a baked potato + horseradish, depending on my mood and what's available.

Kobe beef is another matter entirely. Trips to Japan always ruin me for beef for awhile afterwards... it's just so damn good. Over there, I just take it however the local folks want to serve it to me. That goes for most of the food in Japan; I don't ask questions, I just sit back (well, squat on the floor, actually), enjoy, and pack on the pounds.

| | Registered User | | Join Date: Dec 2003 Location: Southwest Chicago | | Posting in this thread earlier in the day made me hungry enough to fire up the grill tonight and cook up a couple of filets with Flay's Black Pepper/Molasses/Rum Glaze (look it up, it's become a standby in my house)
Sides:
Balsamic Vinegar marinated, grilled red onion
Grilled Asparagus with butter, garlic and tarragon
Wasabi smashed red potatoes
A nice Shiraz. |
