it's the talkbass colloquial substitute for "other"... why it is is a complete mystery, however, and scholors maintain that the reasoning was lost many many years ago.

my personal theory is that it has something to do with the contents of fassa's stomach when she ralphed on her shergold..

You know those shops that don't have prices on the products? It's like that.

The "carrots" poll option was started by founding TB member Eustus "Bugs Bunny" McClintock, a notorious curmudgeon from the DB forum. He was so nicknamed due to his significant overbite. Sadly, Eustus passed away due to a freak farming accident. But the carrots option will be his never ending legacy.

can't vote twice? WRONG

I'm not comfortable w/*carrots* being one of only two options- in my world, *carrots* needs to be totally unrelated to the original question/statement/topic; bacon vs carrots? That's like blond vs redhead or Asian chick vs insane chick- too similar & the beyond-obvious answer is of course both- I believe Maki will bear me out on at least the analogy.

That is utterly false sir. Put simply, carrots are just delicious.

I've reached a decision.
I have come, over time, to understand the whole "carrots" mystery. That is, I know the answers, and can explain them in full detail. For a fee.

Henceforth (god I love using that word, it makes me feel regal), anyone wishing to know the answer - please have your credit cards ready and dial 1 800-CAR-ROTS. $2.00 for the first minute, $1.50 for any subsequent minutes.

Personally I like Bunny Luv carrots. I like the sexy rabbit with that coy seductive smile on the bag. It gets me all the time. I have like six bags in my fridge right now as we speak.

yeah that's what I'm saying. $3.99 for a bag of carrots... yikes.

For that price, I'd demand that someone wax my carrot.

I think it has something to do with John Turner using them to vanquish some forum trolls back in the misty eras of ancient Talkbass legend. I never did get the whole story.

Not to shoot down Your exxellent business idea, but one could use something called "search" as well .

But then again, I guess that people will prefer calling a 800 number before using a search function.

Regards
Sam
