Me and my suitemates gamble on a card game called Durak. I'm still up.

Otherwise, me and my friends played a poker game where it cost 5 bucks to get in and then at the end we took the pot and used it to buy something we all shared and had great fun partaking in.

yup, Russian card game that Armenians picked up while Armenia was USSR, I guess.

I learned it back home years ago, came to college and one of my suitemates knew it too (He's a Mexican former Jew who spent a year in Israel and learned it from a Russian dude there). We taught our other suitemates. Now we place bets and at the beginning of the month we calculate how much everyone owes.

I like unfair advantages.

With the exception of normal wealth managment and other legit forms of investment: My loses to gambling is exactly zero ($0.0)... Never have gambled in my life, not even while a member of the U.S. military.. gaming/gambling has never had any allure for me personally.

$3,468.75 over the course of a weekend. Luckily I brought $3500 with me, and won just shy of $8000 with the remaining $31.25. I will never gamble again.

Not as much as the derivatives market(synthetic GIC's, etc.) is about to give up. Warren Buffet called them financial weapons of mass destruction and wouldn't touch them.

About $1k in London in the 80's.
I was single, in Soho, and .....
