What's a normal food you never tried until recently?

I'm sitting here eating oatmeal for the very first time in my life, it's maple and brown sugar flavoured. It's like eating really soggy pancake soup. That's the only way to describe it.

Less than a year ago I ate my first taco, as well as my first burrito, both were absolutely delicious!!!

Your turn.....

Nothing that I can think of, I like food so I will try anything. I had never tried an espresso until Christmas, but that is a drink.

At 42 years of age I've never tried cantaloupe (can't stand the smell), and I haven't eaten watermelon in over 35 years. Don't plan on eating any in the near-future, either.

Around here, the Krispy Kreme stores have a glass observation area where you can see each donut proceed through the manufacturing process.

I've never seen a krispy kreme, but I heard that they have a big neon green sign, and when a fresh batch comes out, it turns red for 15 minutes!

I can't think of any food item that I haven't put in my mouth at one time or another.

Me too although the donut was cold. Apparently they are better warmed up. Delicious all the same.

I tried cucumber the other week at my favourite Chinese restaurant. It came on a dish that was chili hot and I found it to be quite refreshing.

I am soooooo ready to devour BOTH those wonderful juicy delectable magical miracles of nature.

Until last Friday, never had a calzone. It was good. I could get used to it. As long as I ask for pizza sauce inside it.

I lost my guacamole virginity just about a year ago. I never trusted guacamole because it looks terrible. But my ex got me to try it and low and behold I love it! I put it on everything now...tacos, sandwiches, chicken...I even have a homemade sauce thawt I make and the newest ingridient is guacamole. It's terrific!

Biscuits and gravy. Not that that sort of food qualifies as 'normal'.

I had my first Jersey Mike's sub last week. I will never be the same. However at $11 for a sangwitch I don't think it'll be too often.
