I don't understand why it's called the "signature" area. Your signature is already on every post at the top. (I'm looking at you folks who put your name at the bottom of all your posts. Stop being redundant!)

When I was first quoted in a sig, I knew that I had finally risen above the TB hoi polloi.
Even today, I look upon that moment as perhaps my greatest internet achievement to date.

I'd say you're very easily pleased LOL.

One quote isn't so bad (I guess), but some people have 3 or 4 different quotes, and none of them are even vaguely clever. They write a dozen words pertaining to the actual thread, then have multiple blocks of long, stupid text as signatures? Unless you're a 12 year old girl, I don't quite see the point.
