My favorite guitar I own is a Schecter Hellraiser, and I love Schecters. The fit and finish is awesome, it feels awesome, sounds awesome, and cost me $400

I've always had a thing for Gibson.

SG, Les Paul, 355... it doesn't get much better than that for six-strings.

or basses, for that matter.

Martin on acoustic.

Gibson 335, 355 series electric. Mosrite and Burns.
Burns in particular had some great stuff!

I've exclusively used Ibanez since 1978, so I can't complain. --Kent

My favorite guitar maker has varied over the years. When I first started playing I thought Fenders were great. But then I played Ibanez for a few years.

Right now I really like ESP guitars, I have the LTD Alexi Laiho signature model and I love it.

But if I had to pick a favorite I'd go with Gretsch, I've been on a big rockabilly and psychobilly kick for the last couple years, I bought a Gretsch guitar last year and I love it. Great sound, plays amazingly well, I can't say anything bad about it.

I really love Fender guitars. You'll get a LOT of axe for your money. They record well, they repair/modify easily and sound great on stage. Gibsons come in a close 2nd.. not as versatile as Fenders. I think my biggest hang up with Gibson products is they are just too fragile.. but for fat, saturated, & loud tone.. they are on top!

If I have to pick one favorite overall manufacturer, it would have to be Fender, but there are plenty of others that I enjoy and admire on a item by item basis.

Acoustic - Taylor. I'm not much of an acoustic player though.
Electric - Gibson. I love my Les Paul.

PRS! I've owned 3 at one time and the only reason I'm down to 1 is because of a divorce.

My favorite is Jackson. They make some really awesome guitars. The Warrior is one of the most comfortable guitars I've ever played. The balance is perfect, the neck flys, and the pickups are great.

The Jackson Soloist is also a favorite.
