Whats in your liquor cabinet?

Sign in to disble this ad
I saw a thread about what people drank on Christmas and it got me to wondering what does everyone keep on stock in their liquor cabinet or bar?

Though I don't drink very often I keep:

Captain Morgans Private Stock
Skyy Vodka
Grey Goose Vodka
Bacardi Puerto Rican Rum
Disaronno Amereto
Jack Daniels
Kahlua

Absolut vodka, Patron tequila, cuervo tequila, bombay gin, margarita mix, kahlua, and some Cuban rum that was given to me on the 24th.

Hmmmm...some cognac that I've had for about 20 years and is still half-full. Some bourbon (10+ years), Lochan Ora liqueur (20+ years), St. Brendan's (Xmas present) and a couple of other things.

Takes me about 10-20 years to work my way through a 5th of anything. I drink a couple of beers a week, but hard liquor hardly ever comes to mind. Christmas dinner usually means tapping a bottle of wine. We probably go through 4-5 bottles of wine a month.

Even though we rarely drink hard liquor, we try to stay stocked with
- gin
- vodka
- peach schnappes
- Cointreau
- Chambord
- and sometimes, tequila

I think right now we're out of tequila. (Shows you how often I go to the liquor cabinet!)

Plus we still have the bottle of Chivas Regal (scotch) that my in-laws gave us when they moved out of their apartment...eight years ago. Once that's gone we definitely won't replenish it. Brown liquors are teh suk.

I'm a beer guy, having a stocked liquor cabinet is mostly there for show.

I think I drink too much, and for that reason rarely have anything around, as it doesn't last. There is almost always a bottle of SoCo in the freezer, but that's about it.

I live with my parents (18) and at school (we're college students, nothing lasts) so I don't have a liquor cabinet.

If i would, it would constantly be stocked with Private Stock Cap Mo and Gentleman's Jack

The holidays have been good to me. Got a few bottles of good (c. $15) red wine and the boss gave me a bottle of Laguvalin (16-years-aged single malt Scotch).

That'll take some edge off some of the underemployment in the new year! (Booze tends to last a long time around here but it'll get consumed eventually.)

At the moment:

Talisker 10yr, about 2/3rd full,
Lagavulin 16 yr, full,
Beefeater Gin, almost empty,
Kahlua,
Brown Rum (forgot the name),
Stroh Rum
Jagermeister

My liquor lasts long as I only drink minimal amounts in one evening.

You need to add some premium tequila - I suggest Partida, way better than any other- the guy at Bevmo said he would give me my money back if I didn't like it and it is the best I have ever had! You need some Johnny Walker Red label too in that stash

My immediate family doesn't drink but lots and lots of gifts come in from people who think we do.

There's crazy crap I never even heard of in there.

never enough to actually call it a 'cabinet' I think there is a little Kahlua left, some rum and vodka... not sure the brands, not cheap, but not good stuff. I think there are a couple wine coolers in the fridge.

Not a whole lot.

I've had a bottle of Jagermeister and Goldschlager in my freezer for only God knows how long.

The only thing I keep on hand is the old Cpt. Morgan.

However I did recently pick up a bottle of Johnnie Walker, Black. We'll see if it turns me into a whisky guy.

I think I may have a bottle of tequila as well, but stuff like that usually gets used up soon after it's bought.

A case of Kahlua and a few single bottles, Baileys and Godiva liquor (the wife)
Several single malt scotches, Gin, JD and Vodkas for visitors
About 18 assorted bottles of Absythe (for me)
We also have about 200 various bottles of vino, nothing REALLY special.

I have some Walker Red label thats a few years old and a bottle of Appleton Estate Rum that I got free at a wedding.
As far as keeping liquor stocked, it just doesn't happen. I buy a bottle of whiskey almost every weekend, and its usually gone the same night (mostly Crown or Seagram's VO, sometimes Makers Mark). All I really like is whiskey and cold Jager.
