I know there have been threads like this before but I was very curious....what does everyone do for a living?

I'm an industrial designer by day, and a fine artist (oil painter) by night.

I work in the P-O-P industry (point of purchase) and design all sorts of store displays, fixtures, mechanisms, injection molded parts, tooling, etc.

Let's hear 'em....

Most recently was VP Land Development & Acquisition for a national homebuilder. Was a casualty of the market earlier this year and am currently seeking new opportunities.

I've been the "house bitch" for a while now and while my whites have never been whiter, I'm ready to get back in the saddle and let the wife have the house back.

I'm a quality inspector for a supplier of a major Japanese auto maker. My company builds the seats and I inspect them and pass/fail them before they're shipped to our customer. You would be amazed with the technology that goes into just the seats, let alone everything else.

Student.

Sociology major in undergrad, hoping to go to law school (Duke, Vandy, or UF)

Fun dream: Talent agent. I'd love to be a sports agent and be able to represent some musicians also.

Most likely: Sell my soul to a big firm and be a slimy lawyer for 20 or 30 years and retire around 55.

My wife and I own a Pet grooming boutique.

We have only been open for just over a year...and things have gone great. Lets hope the economy doesn't ruin our future.

Merry Christmas everyone!

Cheers,
BT

Executive Housekeeper (read "head maid") at a resort hotel in Cape May, NJ during the day. Also teach "Art of Photography" and genealogy night / adult classes at a local high school. Do some pro photography (a few weddings but mostly nature photography) and commissioned artwork (if anyone else here is a member of the International Queen Fan club, I have several pieces of art in the most current issue of the newsletter); I also make jewelry (beadwork mostly) and have worked part time in a bead store here (at least until it went under last year...sigh). I'm still taking bass lessons, working with a drummer (we're looking for a guitarist...) but no gigs yet - not as a sub, or with our 'infant' group...
