Bah! Looks like my two-fingered typing technique is a terrible 50wpm, with no mistakes.

I am the fastest typist you will ever meet. That test said 134 wpm, but I don't believe it.

I've done better.

Averaging around 85-90 with a 2-3 mistakes each time.

I found it sort of depends on what words your typing too. That Shakespeare and Crete paragraphs were much harder to type than your standard bedtime story.

Been earning my paycheck at a computer keyboard since 1993. I can name the job that put me there, and I'm well over 120 WPM (including corrections in motion when needed) when all I'm doing is typing, rather than thinking well while typing.

On one hand, some of my coworkers are amazed. On the other hand, typing tends to work better when combined with critical thinking. On the latter, I fall short far too often. So I work more slowly when possible. Typing fast does not equate to thinking well fast, and far too many posts on my part around here attest to that (grins). Working on it.

65 wpm. But I have to add that my keyboard is kinda sticky and faulty and I sometimes don't write some letters, so I have to go back and re-write stuff again.

What I was amazed with, was that I can type fairly accurate without even looking (eyes closed).

I got a 97 with 2 mistakes, but I'm slow compared to when I was in high school. I worked in a data entry career out of high school that only required I type in abbreviations for most of it and it killed my speed.

Hi.

I don't even need to take the test, I'm the slowest.

2 fingers type, 8 either rest or search

Sam

Last time I was tested it was 12-13 wpm. I'm probably a little faster now, but still use two fingers. Luckily, I use a keyboard all day long and get paid by the hour.

LOL. Let me guess, perhaps you are a ghost writer? (grins - not serious). I'm a little fixated right now on that movie (The Ghost Writer). I love it. Amazing how little writing that lead character actually did to merit getting killed for it (in the minds of the fictional portrayal of the CIA).

You can try it with numbers...
But anyway, I've been getting around 50 WPM, with about 3 mistakes. :P In high school I was much faster.

45. i use 3 or 4 fingers to type and i rarely look at the keyboard. if they would throw me something i didn't have to think so hard about, i'd likely do better. a lot of words i dont commonly use on there. kinda ridiculous.

54wpm, which is rather disappointing, used to be able to easily do double that a few years ago when I was typing all day.
