I shouldve made a ? at the end of the topic.

I was in 7th grade, in art class. My parents didnt listen to metal, and up to that point Kiss was the heaviest band Id ever heard. My art teacher was a big time music head and played music while we worked on projects. I heard the Opening riff to Black Sabbath's IRONMAN. That moment changed my life. Ive been a metalhead since that day on.

I didn't start learning to play music until age 18 (around 1988), so I started late. I played in numerous bands in my 20's but always considered music as "extracurricular" even though I consistently played bass at least 12 hours per week, and often more, because I liked it so much. I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play a few unexpected gigs with some very talented (full time) musicians on several ocassions around 1998-2000 and it finally dawned on me that it was possible for me to make a living at this if I just practiced enough and had the passion and ambition.

Of all the things in life that I enjoy doing now, playing music is number one.

Hell... I have no idea.

I started listening to/playing music at a young age and never stopped.

I knew that music was going to be my life about 9 yrs ago, when I had a psychic reading.

She said that I would spend my life poor and eventually end up smelly and homeless.

Woohoo! I just bought myself Powerslave this afternoon. Gotta wait till Christmas to open it though.

Answer to question: First time I ever heard Pantera.
