When to report?

So I ordered this effects pedal off Ebay, and it's been two weeks since the guy supposedly shipped it. It's still not here and I'm getting more and more aggravated. He shipped it in a flat rate box from Washington...

I've sent him a message and have gotten no response. When should I report a missing item, etc?

I just want my pedal.

Go ahead and file a dispute with paypal if you used that. It won't reflect badly on him if it does come up. I went two weeks without hearing from my seller, then he informed me that he shipped it to the wrong address. I had filed a dispute at that time... I left it open until it finally came a few days later.

I know how not hearing anything feels though... especially when almost everyone else I've bought from usually shipped the day after I paid for the item.

I filed a dispute with Paypal. If all goes well, I'll close it.

The guy has good reviews, so I don't know what the problem is.

I would get his seller contact details off of Ebay. You can get his phone number that way. Give him a call and see if you can get through that way.

I had a guy up and disappear on me including when I called was told that he didn't live at that address...where as the week before I was told he did but wasn't home.

He wound up shipping my item using USPS Media Mail which is the absolute slowest form of mail known to man.
