Where do I go to get my Social security card?

I need to get it, and I need it quick

anyone want to give me a point in the right direction?
I tried calling my local government offices on tuesday....and wednesday...and today....and nothing.

I'm assuming you lost your card and need a replacement. Not that you are applying for one for the first time.

Good luck, it's a huge pain in the you know what to try and get another SS card.

The Social Security office. I had to get new cards for my children after a divorce, it wasn't that hard, just had to prove I was the mama-or in your case, prove you are who you are-take a birth certificate with you and other forms of ID

Make sure it's a certified copy of your birth certificate - with embossed seal or whatever your state uses. You will probably need some form of photo ID and maybe a proof of residency. The Gov. website will probably have details.

plus your Mom needs to be there, your doctor, the president of your original country, the first toy you got out of a crackerjack box(j/k)....these people are nazis!

and go EARLY. You would not believe how SLOW people are actually capable of moving...
