Where to go? Road trip, to the west..

Sign in to disble this ad
I plan on taking a week or so off of work, and just seeing some of the country.. However I have no idea where Ill go what Ill do...

I just want to see other parts of the country and find a place I would love to go.. Plus I have always wanted to see mountains and living in south louisiana, there non existant..

I plan on going places like colorado utah nor cal, and oregon, and don't mind making it up as I go.. Are there any places you guys recommend I spend a little more time?

Like I said I mainly just want to see some of the country..
But Im also looking for a place where I want to live..
I want to live in a small friendly town, where it snows and there are at least some nearby mountains/hills.
Im also looking to follow the same career over there which may be hard, as I am currently a plant electrician.. Not sure if there are as many plants in other parts of the country or new construction like there is down here..

Anyways recomend me some places I HAVE to go... Remember Im from louisiana and hills/mountains are the most beautiful thing to me.. I have seen a few when visiting grandparents in conneticut but I was very young...

TELL ME WHERE TO GO..

Mt. Rainier is just down the road from here, and St Helens is in this state too.

Take a road trip through New Mexico. Taos, Santa Fe, Albuquerque, Alamogordo are pretty cool. Roswell sucks, as does Ft. Sumner and Las Cruces.

valley of the giants for sure...
+1 on Santa fe...if you head north west out of santa fe there is a beautiful national forest/park that was among the most incredible stretches of road i have ever been on.
Also if you make it to Utah, Zion national park is really breathtaking.

Enjoy!

I was going to suggest Zion as well. Maybe time your roadtrip with some bands that you want to see as well.

Check out Crater Lake in Oregon, then go see Lee Barker in Redmond. Once you're in Redmond, start checking out real estate.

Stay away from Washington State right now. It is damp, cold, rainy, windy, and gray all the time.

Yeah the best time to see the mountains here is June/July-Sept.
