Where is the San Diego Blues scene?

Sign in to disble this ad
Am planning a visit with several days to mooch around San Diego, and would welcome tips on eats and tunes. I prefer blues and moderate cost restaurants/sandwich shops (I know that's relative, but if you consider it a value then I probably would too). What can you turn me on to?

I didn't think that people were allowed to have the blues in San Diego.

Maybe you should get to a more depressing location.

Go to the gaslamp district. Lots of bands play there. Bound to be a few blues bands.

LOL. Exactly what I was thinking.

San Diego and blues go together like sushi and chocolate.

Maybe the blues-ers all left on the October cruise

But the itinerary says they came back! I know they're there somewhere...

Nothing to add but to suggest that you have an In and Out Burger.

I'll buy you one if you want to meet up.

Thanks for the offer, maybe it'll work out so we can do that....

From the comments/suggestions so far, it looks like I'll be spending more time eating than prowling blues bars.

Bring a surfboard. Wintertime in San Diego has some of the best surf in California.
