Although there is some great places to eat in Panama City and Mexico Beach (namely Toucan's at MB and Pompano's at PC). So you'll be able to relax at the relatively secluded Mexico beach or go into Panama City where there's plenty of great things to do with the family.
Also, most of the Spring Break action at Panama City is in March so you wouldn't catch much of that regardless.
